INDOOR BANNER DESIGNS for CELSIY VODKA advertising campaign
CLIENT: National Alcohol Traditions, a Ukrainian nationwide distillery.
BRAND: Celsiy vodka
INDUSTRY: Food & Beverages
MARKETING GOALS: Create a series of banners to promote the Celsiy brand in nightclubs held by the Celsiy Vodka Party parties.
WHY ARE PEOPLE NIGHTCLUBBING?
To dance? To drink? To hang with a friend? Anyway, when you are young, professional, and the world is rolling under your feet, you want to relax when Friday evening comes!
To promote the new vodkas for these guys, the Celsiy brand organized “Celsiy Partys” in the most prominent local nightclubs, filled with famous DJs, special cocktails, and unique contests to catch the core audience.
BANNER DESIGN: A STORY
I’ve designed the banners like a pattern made from custom tribal pictograms of enjoying life people and custom lettering, carrying the message on imaginary extraterrestrial language. Yep, we specially created several alien-styled verb phonemes, which the target audience recognized.
Banners should be noticeable, even in a dark environment with blinking disco lights. For doing this, the central banner message has been printed with special ink, which glowed in UV light.
This banner offers you: let’s dance!
IN LINE WITH CUSTOMER’S MOOD
When a person wishes to relax, usually ignore advertising as a break from the usual visual clutter of their lives.
To avoid this rejection, I created a series of messages aligned with a nightclub’s visitor’s mood – Dancing, drinking, maybe hooking up?
To make this call much less pronounced, I used “an extraterrestrial language,” which we successfully used in previous TV teaser campaign, and supported the message with brutal graphics & lettering. Banners are proclaimed: Dansao, sexano, relaxo, livos!
This banner whispered to you: get laid!
BRAND THEM ALL!
I designed two banner series: 4 square banners and two long 3:1 banners. This modular size system allowed Celsiy to utilize effective branding for any size and configuration of available spaces.
These banners proved to be very popular; visitors transformed them into photo zones, especially the “Get Laid!” banner.
This banner suggests to you: Relax!
